Thanks for checking in to see what were up to these days. A lot has been going on. Starting this Sat.FEB.14 for we have phenomenal new electro act PRETTY LIGHTS at Subterranean for a Valentine's Day throw down. Resident DJ Lou Dooben supports. If electronic music isn't your thing, head over to the Bottom Lounge that night to see Americana-Rock upstarts VAN GHOST w/ Matthew Kerstein (Brighton, MA), Chris Zonada (Black Umbrella Brigade), and Brendan Losch. Also, watch out in late March for the return of THE PNUMA TRIO at the Abbey Pub on Sat.MAR.28! In other news we are proud to say that our weekly event "THE WEDNESDAY AFFAIR," which we have been presenting for years in Lincoln Park's Tonic Room is going better than ever. Starting in March we will featuring one band per month to be the 3D-MAS featured Local Spotlight act. The first act is FIFTH WORLD, a fairly new project fronted by Timothy "SMU" McCarthy. Smu has been part of the 3D-MAS crew and scene since the revered and historical Boulevard Cafe era. They will play every "WEDNESDAY AFFAIR" in March with a slew of other great bands. The last piece of news and another huge reason why things have been going so well at Tonic Room and our bigger weekend events is the inclusion of 3 new members of the team over here at 3D-headquarters. First off, we like to officially welcome Jessica Blanc to the team. Jessica brings a freshness to our organization and an ability to learn quickly. She is helping out as an assistant talent buyer, running production at events, doing online promo and holds a slew of other responsibilities. We have mad love for our newest girl and would be lost these days without her. Another key addition to our team is new designers Franklin (©DESIGNBYFRANKLIN) and Cody Meltzer (CODE E DESIGN) who will be making poster images for our upcoming events as well as acting as an online promo assistants. Both Franklin and Cody are very talented and have a great eyes for making intelligent art. We are honored to have Jess, Franklin and Cody on board. Hope all is well and we'll see you at a show sometime sooner than later!
